Note on G x E analysis in segregating populations of durum wheat
Abstract
Genotype X environment (G x E) interaction had been studied in segregating populations of durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf.). The differences among the genotypes were highly significant for all the characters except grain yield/ear and no. of ears/unit area. The nonlinear component of G x E interaction was significant for yield/ear, 1000-grain weight, and ears/unit area. However, significant differences were not observed for no. of grains/ear and plant height, indicating that their G x E interaction was not due to the linear association of the genotypes to the varying environments.
