Sixty progeny families were produced by crossing 20 wheat varieties with three male testers (WH 147, WH 542 and their F1) in a triple test cross fashion to detect epistasis and test and estimate additive and dominance components of genetic variation. Epistasis was present for plant height and 1000-grain weight in both environments. Testers were adequate for grain number. Additive component played a greater role in the control of almost all the six characters.
