The unknown interchanges of pearl millet, Pennisetum americanum (1.) Rich. Syn. P. typhoides (Burm.) S. & H. were crossed with each other as well as with the members of tester-set and other interchanges. The Fls were analysed for chromosome configurations at diakinesis. The information so generated was interpreted keeping in view the knowledge about chromosomes involved in tester-set and other interchanges.
