Genetic mapping of powdery mildew resistance gene (er) in pea (Pisum sativum L.)

Genetic mapping of powdery mildew resistance gene (er) was carried out. Ten crosses were studied in the F₁ and F₂ to determine the map position of Er gene. The study confirmed linkage of Er with six other genes of linkage group 6, viz., PI, Arg, Fl, Wlo, Na and ThiB. The gene order revealed by this study is Na–Wlo–Er–Arg–FI–PI–ThiB.
