Govt. Fruit Gardents, Araku Valley
The importance of the Agency tracts of Andhra for extending guava is discussed.
The physical features of the tract and the localities suitable for raising commercial orchards have been critically reviewed, based on the experience of survey of these Agency areas.
The investigations carried on. the Government Fruit Farm at Araku Valley have been given.
Some suggestions on the establishing of regional fruit stations in these tracts, for studying various varieties and for training personnel for extension work are brought out. A solution to the marketing and transport problems has been cited.
