Abstract

The authors examined brinjal flowers of a Long Black variety at the Annamalai University Experimental Farm and have described the occurrence of four different types of flowers and their fruit-setting behaviour under normal conditions and when affected by 2,4-D as a plant growth-regulator, and have mentioned the scope of increasing fruit-set through the use of plant growth-regulators such as 2,4-D.
