Abstract

Results of varietal trials with 19 varieties of pea for table purposes are given. In the Determinate varieties which do not require staking, Early Alaska, I. P. 29 and N. P. 163 proved to be most suitable for production of pods during December, January and February-March respectively.

Among the Indeterminate varieties which require staking Mammoth Podded, Kape and Ford Hook Wonder were best for three periods respectively.

The yield of tall varieties was greater than that of the dwarf ones.
