The treated seedlings were slower in growth and had thick twisted, broader leaves.
The stomata and cell size of the treated plant3 were bigger than the normal. The frequency of stomata per unit area was significantly lower in the treated as compared to controls.
The treated plants continued flowering over a longer period and were late in maturity.
Pollen grains size of the treated was significantly bigger and there was greater range in the variability of the size of pollen grains than their normal grains. Pollen sterility was also high in the treated than in the normal diploids.
Daring meissis precocious movement, lagging and unequal distribution of the chromosomes to the poles during disjunction were noticed in case of the treated plants.
