For controlling mango hoppers of the species Idiocerus atkinsoni Leth, the systemic insecticide Pestox may be useful. A concentration of 0 4% was found to be the most effective. Washing the plants with water after spraying did not wipe out the effect of the insecticide. It is reasonable, therefore, to expect that the insecticide can be used during a. period of occasional rains.
