Abstract

The population of Idiocerus clypealis Leth. fluctuated in different months due to variation in environment. There was positive correlation between the pest population and the temperature, which, therefore, seems to be the most potent factor. Highest population of this insect was found during the month of August when mean monthly maximum and minimum temperatures were 26.2°C and 30.1°C and mean R.H. 63 per cent.
