The Horticultural Society of India honoured Dr. M. S. Randhawa, ICS for his outstanding contribution to the cause of horticulture on his 60th birthday by presenting a book entited ‘The Famous Gardens of India’. For this purpose, a function was held at the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana on May 25,1971. The function was largely attended. Shri S. L. Katyal, President, Horticultural Society of India presented the book to Dr. M. S. Randhawa. Dr. G. S. Randhawa, Secretary, Horticultural Society of India read the following citation.
