Although skin coating of mangoes with Wax-emulsion is reported to be helpful in extending the storage life, the results obtained in the present experiment indicate that late varieties perhaps do not respond as satisfactory as early or medium varieties. A small increase in the storage life obtained in the present case may not be worthwhile as the cost of treatment would hardly compensate losses, if any, due to wastage during storage.
