The studies on maturity tests of six promising varieties were conducted at the Department of Horticulture, Haryana Agricultural University, Hissar during 1969. In this investigation the changes in berry size, weight, total soluble solids, sugars and acidity over four different dates of harvesting were studied to ascertain the peak period of maturity and the optimum time of harvesting. The following are the optimum maturity requirement of six promising varieties of grapes at Hissar which may be applied to adjacent grape orchards.
