Abstract

In order to assess whether poor yields in Anab-e-shahi are due to lack of nutrition, leaf samples from six poor yielding and six normal yielding vineyards were analysed for nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium contents. Petiole and leaf blade analysis revealed that poor yielding vines had less of nitrate nitrogen, nitrogen (excluding nitrates), phosphorus, potassium and magnesium (only in leaf blades) and more of calcium and magnesium (except in leaf blades), bu however the differences in petiole phosphorus, leaf blade nitrogen and leaf blade potassium contents only were significant.
