An anthracnose disease caused by Gloeosporium eugeniae Chona and Munjal was observed sporadically on fruits of Sizygium cwninii in the heart of Dholi, Muzaffarpur District of Bihar during the months of July to August 1969–70, as small water soaked to pinkish irregular depressions, later turning blackish brown in colour, ultimately covering the entire fruit to appear sudden and causing heavy losses. The morphology and physiology of the fungus was studied.
