Abstract

In a nutritional trial on pineapple variety Queen, with a plant density of 43560/ha, three levels of N (4, 8 and 16 gm/plant), three levels of P2O5 (0, 4 and 8 gm/plant) and three levels of K2O (4, 8 and 16 gm/plant) were compared. In respect of fruit weight with and without crown, significant responses were observed only to Nitrogen but not to phosphorus and potassium. The same trend was noticed in the case of leaf number and total planting material except that P effects were also significant in total planting material. Practically no effect of application of N, P and K was seen in fruit T.S.S. and acidity.
