Changes in aminoacid contents show that tristez-infected plants lacked lysine and had lesser amount of amino acids as compared to control. Irradiation of virus infected material improved the quantity of amino acid accompained with the appearance of lysine. Changes in Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium content showed marked differences in healthy, virus infected, irradiated healthy and irradiated virus infected plants.
