Five varieties of seedless grapes grown in Delhi were tried for raisin making in a cross flow dehydrator. The raisins obtained from imported Sundekhani variety from Afghanistan gave the best product even superior to raisins imported from that country. Among the local varieties of grapes gibberellic acid treated Pusa Seedless gave acceptable raisins. Storage of these raisins at low temperature retained better quality. Packing raisins in glass jar and alkathene bags proved superior to cardboard and paper containers.
