Abstract

In Jasminum grandiflorum 6 split doses of FYM (30 kg/plant) and N (120 g/plant) P (240 g plant) and K (240 g/plant) per year increased the yield by 17.4 to 20.0 per cent over 2 split doses. Six split doses of NPK alone caused similar but slight increases. The flower bud diameter and weight of 100 flower buds were also enhanced by 6 split doses of FYM + NPK. Increasing the frequency of soil fertiliser application to 12 (monthly) split doses caused further significant enhancement of flower bud yields as well as weight of 100 flower buds and per cent recovery of "Jasmine Concrete". Foliar application of nitrogen even at reduced N levels depressed the flower yield.
