Abstract

B. palmarum was notice to cause fruit rot of hot and sweet pepper, producing typical spots containing black pycnidia. Ripened fruits and seeds turned black as a result of infection. Seed borne infection caused 40–48 per cent pre-emergence mortality Seed dressing with Ceresan dry and Hexasan gave maximum emergence in hot pepper, whereas Ceresan dry and TMTD treatments were effective in sweet pepper.
