Changes in berry weight, volume and quality constituents in Perlette and Gulabi cultivars of Vitis vinifera were determined every week over an entire fruiting seasons (April 5 to June 18, 1973). Berries of both the cultivars showed a double sigmoid growth curve. Total soluble solids and sugars in the berries increased almost abruptly and acidity decreased sharply with the onset of the second phase of rapid growth (stage III), during the eighth week after anthesis.
