Abstract

The highest fruit yield was obtained with N2P2K2 combination under the double cropping system, but for taking only winter season crop, N1P1K1 combination proved most economical. The trees under the double cropping system (control trees) gave significantly higher fruit yield in comparison to the winter and rainy season crops. The winter season crop was significantly higher than the rainy season crop. On the basis of net returns per acre, it is recommended that only the winter season crop may be taken and the rainy season crop may be removed during April-May and fertilizers applied during June. Significantly higher vitamin C was estimated in the winter season fruits than during the rainy season.
