An experiment was laid out to study the effect of nitrogen, phosphorus and potash singly and in combination with one another at the Regional Fruit Research Sub-station, Kandaghat (Simla Hills). N + P + K resulted in better growth; N + P + K and N alone also gave better yields during the course of studies. N alone and N + P + K also produced fruits of bigger size with a higher pulp/stone ratio. K alone or in-combination with P and N increased T. S. S. in fruit juice and acidity was reduced by fertilizers in general and by F. Y. M. in particular.
