Abstract

The development of guava shoots was studied under the three cropping patterns which made more growth in rainy season cropping pattern than winter or whole year cropping pattern. The shoots grew faster in first four months, slowed down during next three months and finally started drying out at the age of one year or initiated new growth which was mostly lateral. More lateral shoots dried in whole year cropping pattern than in other patterns.
