Abstract

N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S were estimated in leaves collected from fruiting and non-fruiting terminals in Dashehari, Chausa and Lucknow Safeda cultivars of mango in 20 orchards. Generally, these elements were found to be present in higher amounts in Dashehari as compared to other two cultivars which were more or less at par. Hence, it is necessary to work out leaf nutrient standards separately for each cultiyar or a group of cultivars. At full bloom stage, leaf nutrient status of non-fruiting terminals was generally higher than those of fruiting terminals.
