Abstract

Nutritional survey of the apple orchards of Simla Hills was conducted. Three cultivars of the delicious group of apples were taken for comparision using two recommended leaf sampling procedures. The investigations have revealed the preve-lance of Zn, Mo and B deficiencies with marginal levels of Cu. The three cultivars under study were at par with each other for all the micronutrients except B and Mo where, Red Delicious and Starking Delicious differed significantly with Golden Delicious. There was no significant difference between spur leaf and Mid terminal shoot leaf sampling procedures for any of the micronutrients. However, locations significantly affected leaf contents of all the micronutrients except, Cu.
