Vitamin C content of 12 varieties of capsicum diploid and then their colchicine induced auto-tetraploids has been estimated. Vitamin C content in the varieties shows a very significant variation. There is a significant increase in the quantity of vitamin C in the tetraploid capsicum. Hence these can be econmically exploited.
