Abstract

From overall assesment of the results obtained, it may be stated that nitrogen influenced growth but higher dose caused poor maturity of shoot and hence lower yield. Phosphorus induced better maturity of shoot accompained with increased production. Potassium had no effect on growth and fruit production but influenced better quality. Thus, 600 kg nitrogen plus 240 kg phosphorus plus 120 kg potassium on a basal dose of 70 cartloads of F. Y. M. per hectare seems to be an optimum dose of fetilizers for Cheema Sahebi grape under the conditions prevailing at poona.
