Effect of Varying Levels of N, P and K on Growth and Yield of Papaya (Carica Papaya L.)

A 3³ confounded factorial fertilizer trial on gynodioecious papaya variety Coorg Honey Dew showed that under rainfed condition and soil rich in organic matter and available potassium, 250 g each of N and P₂O₅ per plant per year applied in three split doses in a year was the best dose. Application of nitrogen gave early flowering and flowering at low height. Application of potash as muriate of potash had depressing effect on yield.
