Abstract

A 33 confounded factorial fertilizer trial on gynodioecious papaya variety Coorg Honey Dew showed that under rainfed condition and soil rich in organic matter and available potassium, 250 g each of N and P2O5 per plant per year applied in three split doses in a year was the best dose. Application of nitrogen gave early flowering and flowering at low height. Application of potash as muriate of potash had depressing effect on yield.
