Abstract

Studies on the propagation of mango by veneer grafting, side-grafting, budding, air-layering and inarching were conducted at the Central Mango Research Station, Lucknow, during 1975 to 1977. More success was observed when all the operations were conducted during July and August whereas November and December months resulted very poor success. Highest success was achieved in inarching (96 per cent) followed by veneer grafting (88–92 per cent) whereas budding gave the lowest success (64 per cent).
