Abstract

A comparative study on morphological characters of peach cultivars viz. Sharbati Safeda, Sharbati Red and Saharanpur No. 6 showed that the three cultivars could be easily distinguished morphologically on the basis of tree, leaf and external fruit characters. While Saharanpur No. 6 differs from the other two distinctly in all major characters, the two Sharbati types could be identified from fruit characters, viz. colour and depth of suture.
