A survey of 42 apple orchards in different locations of Himachal Pradesh was undertaken during 1975. The observations reveal that the nutritional status varied from orchard to orchard. However, most of the orchards were in the satisfactory range for Zn and Mn contents, but in the high range for Fe and B contents. A small percentage of the orchards represented Zn, Mn and B contents below the optimum range.
