Inheritance of Leaf Characters in Pumpkin (Cucurbita Maxima Duch)

Inheritance studies on some leaf characters in pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima Duch) cross Arka Suryamukhi × IHR 121, were conducted during June-August 1975 at the Horticultural Experiment Station, Hessaraghatta, Bangalore. Leaf tip, leaf lobing and leaf margin showed monogenic control with dominance of acute tip over blunt tip, deep lobing over shallow lobing and serrate leaf margin over serrulate leaf margin of leaves.
