Abstract

Study conducted to see the effect of various nutrient elements on the intensity of flower bud and flower drop in Thompson Seedless revealed that spray of urea can help in amelioration of this disorder. Application of ammonium dihydrogen ortho-phosphate (A. D. O.) or sulphate salts of Mg, Zn, Fe or Mn did not have any effect. Application of urea or A. D. O. resulted in increased juice percentage. Other quality characters were not affected by any of the treatments. Spray of urea resulted in increase in nitrogen and phosphorus and decreased K content of leaf petioles. Spray of A. D. O. resulted in increased phosphorus and decreased potassium levels.
