Abstract

Studies have revealed that declining trees of sweet orange showed more variation in weight and size of the fruit while clay loam soil with high CaCo3 and lime concretions increased peel thickness and rag percentage. Granulation in the fruits was found to be increased with low N and P and high K and B in the leaves, and clay loam soil with high CaCO3 and lime concretions. The acid content in the juice increased with low N and P and high K and Mg, while low lime concretions decreased it. Fruit quality characters between healthy and declining trees were found to be nonsignificant.
