Abstract

Varieties were collected from the various parts of the world at Jeolikote (Distt. Nainital), U. P. for evaluation. The present paper embodies the plant characters and physico-chemical status of fifteen promising varieties, viz., 1. Gem, 2. Albritton, 3. Stelemaster, 4. Phenomenal, 5. Bangalore, 6. Shasta, 7. Jucunda, 8. Robinson, 9. Missionary, 10. Local Jeolikote, 11. Blackmore, 12. Tioga, 13. Local Kalimpong, 14. Swiss, 15. Red Coat.
