Trigonella foenum-graecum L. is an economically useful legume. Vigorous. autotetraploids displaying luxuriant growth have been induced in a carrier strain having B chromosomes. Here, an attempt has been made to study the fertility and growth rate of autotetraploids in C2 and C8 generations. Carrier and non carrier plants have been compared in each generation to find out the possible effects of B chromosomes on these parameters.
