Various peach cultivars namely Flordasun, Matchless, Safeda, Peshawarigola, Sunred and Sharbati grown in a varietal trial at Fruit Research Station, Bhatinda, displayed deficiency symptoms. In order to ascertain the deficiency/excess of any nutrient, the leaf analyses study both for macro as well as micro-nutrients in various cultivars and at verying degree of deficiency, were carried out. Phosphorus was found to be deficient in all the cultivars, except Sunred, and the contents were significantly (P = 0.01) low in severely deficient leaves. N and K were not affected with the P deficiency. However Ca, Mg, Zn, Cu Fe and Mr were found to be accumulated in the severely deficient leaves. The results have been discussed with the help of soil analyses values of the orchards.
