Most of the treatments had similar effect on the nitrogen content of all plant parts and increased the percentage of nitrogen in all plant parts immediately after treatment and the effect lasted upto the time of harvest except in the shoots, in which there was a decrease at the end as compared control. PCPA 40 ppm gave highest increase which may be due to limited vegetative growth. The treatments with limited vegetative growth gave comparatively higher percentage of nitrogen in all plant parts. In the leaf lamina and fruit just after treatment, there was a decrease in phosphorus content in most treatments. This effect lasted upto the end in fruit in GA treatments. Soon after treatment, in the shoot and leaf petiole the phosphorus content was increased which came down at harvest. PCPA 40 ppm again gave highest increase the phosphorus in different plant parts. Potassium content in leaf lamina, leaf petiole and shoot increased immediately after treatment in most cases and the effect lasted upto the time of harvest in auxin like chemicals but in GA combination there was a decrease at the end. In fruit initially there was a decrease in potassium level but at harvest the level increased in most treatments maximum being again in PCPA 40 ppm due to limited vegetative growth.
