Abstract

Twenty ornamental plants were tested to study the host response to the infection of root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita. Only Gaillardia pukhella reacted as non-host, while response of other plants ranged from poor to highly susceptible. Four plants were highly susceptible, 3 were susceptible, 5 plants were moderately susceptible and 7 plants were poor hosts. Out of these 20 plants, 15 plants, reported here are the new host records of M. incognita.
