Present studies concerning inheritance of two marker characters (excessive dwarfing and potato leaf), male sterility and fruit colour were conducted at the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. The monogenic differences among the parents were observed for all these characters. The transfer of male-sterile, character into Leader and Red Belt is suggested for making use as female parent in hybrid seed production.
