The fruit set increased with GA 200 and 400 ppm in cv. Flordasun whereas higher concentration of GA 400, 600 and 800 ppm increased it in cv. Sharbati. The fruit retension increased only with GA 200 ppm concentration in both the cultivars. The fruits of cv. Flordasun showed better initial swell due to GA application whereas in cv. Sharbati only two GA concentration i.e. GA 200 and 800 ppm showed more initial swell than the controls. The effect of GA concentrations on fruit size in cv. Flordasun was negetive whereas better fruit size than the control was observed with GA concentrations in cv. Sharbati. GA concentration significantly reduced the stone diameter and weight in both the cultivars. Parthenocarpy was observed in cv. Flordasun with high concentration of GA (600, 800 and 1000 ppm) whereas in cv. Sharbati parthenocarpy was recorded only with GA 400 ppm. The effect of GA concentration need to be confirmed on a larger sample.
