Single spray treatment at full bloom stage in China variety of litchi was studied with different plant growth substances i. e. GA, NAA and 2,4-D at concentrations from 10 to 200, 50 to 200 and 2.5 to 10 ppm respectively. In respect of increasing the average number of fruit-set 100 ppm of GA proved to be best treatment followed bo NAA and 2,4-D. NAA at all concentrations was found effective in controlling fruit drop. 50 ppm being best among all. Maximum number of fruits per panicle was also harvested with NAA spray at 50 ppm and GA at 100 ppm. A marked increase in aril weight was recorded and the maximum weight was obtained at 50 ppm each of NAA and GA.
