The present studies on the effect of pre-harvest sprays of Calcium nitrate on the cold storage life of Flordasun peach was undertaken at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, showed that the pre-harvest sprays of calcium nitrate reduced the physiological loss in weight and rotting, increased the calcium content and maintained pulp firmness and fruit quality of Flordasun peach fruits during cold storage upto 22 days. Calcium nitrate at 2.0 and 1.5 per cent concentration as pre-harvest sprays gave significantly beneficial effects in extending the shelf life in cold storage of Flordasun peach fruits because of delayed onset of senecence upto 22 days. The control fruits were in unacceptable condition after 22 days of storage period.
