Abstract

It could be concluded from the above discussion that maturity coefficients, and no. of days to maturity in particular are the most useful characters in forecasting the sugar/acid ratio of grape berries (with R2 value 72 to 94 per cent. In the absence of the above characters, the leaf nutrients help to predict the sugar/acid ratio to the extent of 89 per cent while with shoot measurements, this value is 79 per cent.
