Correlation and path-coefficient of seed yield and its components were studied in seventeen cultivars winged bean. Seed yield per plant showed positive significant correlation with number of dry pods per plants, 100 seed weight and days to flowering.
Path-analysis revealed that the number of dry pod per plant, weight of dry pods per plant, 100 seed weight and days to 95 per cent dry pod maturity exhibited positive direct effect on seed yield while the pod length showed negative direct effect. Days to 50 per cent germination and days to flowering had high negative direct effect while days to last maturity though showed negative but negligible direct effect on seed yield. It could be advocated that the number of dry pods per plant and weight of dry pods per plant and 100 seed weight should be given emphasis in selection programme.
