Abstract

Studies were carried out on the dagree of granulation in the fruits in various stionic combination of sweet orange. Jaffa cultivar was highly susceptible to the granulation disorder as compared to Blood Red, Musambi, Valencia and Pineapple cultivars. Two strains of rough lemon, viz Jatti Khatti and Jambhiri induced maximum granulation in Blood Red, Musambi, Valencia and Pineapple while Kharna Khatta did so in case of Jaffa. The stionic combinations like Blood Red/Cleopatra and Pineapple/Troyer exhibited least incidence of granulation in fruits. The granulation percentage decreased with the age of the tree irrespective of any effect of rootstock.
