Abstract

The 10 growth characters under study viz. trunk girth, primary, secondary and tertiary girths and numbers of the branches, tree height and spreads in north-south and east-west directions were able to estimate the on-year yields of 1975, 77. 79 and their mean to the order of 82 to 90 per cent. Trunk, secondary and tertiary branch girths were found to be the main contributors towards yield. Primary branch girth and tree height had reducing direct and indirect effects and number of branches at the three stages and the spread in north-south and east-west directions had negligible contribution towards yield.
