Abstract

Plant-growth regulators (IAA, NAA and Planofix at 20 ppm each) stimulated the vegetative growth, fruit-set and yield of chillies significantly. IAA proved significantly superior over NAA and Planofix, producing about 11 q higher yield and Rs. 1100 more net-profit per ha. Rogor (0.03 per cent) was more effective than Metasystox and Nuvacron (0.03 per cent each) in controlling leaf-curl virus. Rogor increased chillies yield by 2.42 q and net-profit by Rs. 195 per ha over Metasystox. IAA + Metasystox and Planofix + Rogor proved the best. Nuvacron showed its antagonistic influence upon hormones.
