Bulbs of ‘Fire Fly’ a red flowered cultivar of Hippeastrum were planted in open on 5th, 15th, 25th January and 5th February, 1979, after giving 0,1,2,4 and 8 cross cuts from base upward. Maximum increase of 1860.00 per cent in bulblet formation was observed in case of 25th January planting, with no rotting and drying. It is, therefore, concluded that this method, termed ‘Nothing’ is fast as well as safe for use in case of rare material of Hippeastrum.
